TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) -- If you are going to Tuscaloosa to watch the Crimson Tide and Wisconsin Badgers go head-to-head Saturday, emergency medical technicians urge fans to come physically prepared.

“For early games, we always see heat injuries and heat emergencies just because of the humidity,” said State EMS Medical Director Dr. Elwin Crawford.

She also serves as the Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue medical director. Crawford has decades of experience when it comes to first response on college football Saturdays in Tuscaloosa.
