Flood advisory active for Malheur County until Wednesday evening triggered by intense rainfall

On Wednesday at 4:50 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a flood advisory in effect until 8 p.m. for Malheur County.

The weather service says, “Dry washes and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.”

“Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas,” explains the weather service. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
