NORFOLK, Va. — A plan to bring a state-of-the-art hotel to Norfolk International Airport is no longer taking flight. The airport's president, Mark Perryman, said the partnership "no longer exists."
This plan to build a hotel had been in the works for the past two years. Perryman said two companies came together, LTD Hospitality and Caliber Company, to form ORF Hospitality LLC.
The newly formed group should have led and developed the building of the new hotel, but Perryman said eight months ago he received word that the companies' partnership had ended.
"They finally admitted to it," said Perryman. "Caliber had departed, and so I was left with, 'Well, when we selected you, when you put your proposal in, you said in the interview this is a 50/50 partnership with LTD and Caliber.'"
