NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Plans to build a hotel at Norfolk International Airport are grounded for now after the airport authority terminated the agreement with its chosen development partner.
In a letter sent July 22, Mark Perryman, the airport's president and CEO, stated ORF Hospitality Partners "defaulted by failing to comply with material covenants of the agreement" struck back in February 2024. He added that "material misrepresentations" were made in the group's proposal submitted to the authority, including the partners' "capacity to perform, financial capabilities and other areas."
