Crime Stoppers of Greenville recently honored active and fallen law enforcement officers at the Russ Sorrow and Fallen Officers Award Banquet.

The annual banquet was held Sept. 10 at the Poinsett Club in Greenville. Crime Stoppers of Greenville, a nonprofit community organization, presented the Russ Sorrow Award and the S.H.I.E.L.D. Award to two officers for their service.

“Each year, Crime Stoppers greatly anticipates this occasion to honor our local law enforcement and to smile and remember those who ultimately paid the price,” said Felicia Robbins, president of Crime Stoppers of Greenville.

The Russ Sorrow Award honors the memory of Greenville Police Department Officer James Russell Sorrow and the other Greenville County law enforcement officers who were killed in the line of duty. T
