BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — The Antero Foundation and the United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties held a check presentation on Wednesday to recognize the foundation’s donation of $100,000 to last year's United Way campaign.

The donation helped fund the United Way’s 18 agencies with its mission of advancing health, education, and financial stability for everyone in the community.

Antero Foundation Board Member Kevin Ellis explained to 12 News how the missions of the Antero Foundation and the United Way align.

“Where the people are, where the need is the greatest, that's where we try to put our money from the foundation grants that we give out,” Ellis said. “United Way is the same. It really brings money to the table to those groups, those organizations, that are out there doing work
