SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - There are nearly 700 Share the Road signs in Missouri, including 60 in Webster County. But one of our viewers tonight is asking about another road sign: stop signs. Katrina says she recently watched 2 horse and buggies run stop signs. She wants to know: A re the Amish required to follow the law of the road ?

Amish buggies aren’t powered by a 450-horsepower engine. Most have one, as in one real live horse. Drivers are often warned to be cautious around the animals and slow-moving vehicles.

The operators of those buggies have responsibilities, too. They don’t need a license to drive the buggies. But they do need to follow the basic rules of the road.
