KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Wednesday shooting on a college campus in Utah killed conservative political activist Charlie Kirk.

It's extremely concerning for UMKC Student Body President Justice Horn.

“That could be me. I give speeches at UMKC that could be me,” he said.

Horn is also running for a seat in the Jackson County Legislature.

“I think we all have an obligation to reduce the temperature around here.”

Videos circling on social media show the moment Kirk was shot in front of hundreds of students.

“There's a lot of students who wanted to attend a campus event who watched a public execution,” Horn said.

Kirk would regularly travel to college campuses with his organization, Turning Point USA, a student political activist organization.
