BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Three months before it appears on the ballot, some voters still have questions about the THRIVE EBR plan.
The East Baton Rouge Parish library has been holding presentations at its branches across the parish to help voters understand.
“The concern of losing its funding. It was a big concern with myself and my wife and our family,” said Ronnie Harris. “The fact is, you walk into any one of the branches, any one of the buildings, and you see your tax dollars at work.”
“They want to know that money is being spent for a parishwide purpose, including the library, and it will be,” explained Assistant Library Director Mary Stein.
That means library services will stay the same, and upgrades to several locations can go on as scheduled, but the library isn’t doing it alo
