ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) -- College basketball head coaches have to be focused on not just the upcoming season, but the long-term future of the program. UAlbany's Dwayne Killings is doing just that, already landing a big recruit not for this season, but for 2026.

The Great Danes got a verbal commitment last week from Tyler Jones, a three-star recruit from Memphis, Tennessee. The 6'4 guard averaged eight points and three assists per game in his junior year at the Christ School in North Carolina. He's rated as a top 50 shooting guard in the country.

Jones says UAlbany was the right fit for him. "I'd definitely say throughout the whole process they recruited me hard," said Jones. "They really wanted me. When I finally got to get down there, it just felt like home. The coaches welcomed me. Even w
