NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A quirky tradition is coming back to a neighborhood with a rich history.

Porch parties are returning to Lockeland Springs to help new and old residents meet their neighbors.

Lockeland Springs residents use their porches as connecting points. The event started a couple of years ago, when the Lockeland Springs Neighborhood Association was looking for ideas to raise money to give back to the community.

Lockeland Springs Neighborhood Association Treasurer Millie Parkes said residents can stop by a different house in the neighborhood on a Sunday afternoon and meet each other.
