NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Thursday marks 24 years since the 9/11 attacks back in 2001. Several remembrance events will be held across Nashville and Middle Tennessee.
The Franklin Police Department is holding its 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at 8 a.m. at Franklin's Police Headquarters, 900 Columbia Avenue. Guest speakers will be at the event, including the Franklin Police and Fire Chief, along with Franklin Mayor Ken Moore. The community is invited to come together at Franklin's Police Headquarters to honor the lives lost and pay tribute to the survivors and first responders.
The Rutherford County Sherriff's Office is hosting a ceremony at 9 a.m. at their 9/11 Memorial, located at 940 New Salem Highway in Murfreesboro. There will be a ringing of the bell by the Smyrna Fire Department to reme
