WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - City league rivals East High and Northwest High may have their differences, but the two schools share much in common, including 1-0 records, a strong running game, and staying disciplined.
"Staying disciplined and just not reacting to anything that is thrown at us, to stay levelheaded," Northwest senior quarterback Jaylen Mason said.
They also share a common goal.
"Being disciplined, finishing, on the way to finishing all four quarters, not starting off sloppy. We got to come out firing on all cylinders immediately off the jump," East senior running back Duece Bohannon said.
Week two's city league rivalry game will feature two schools with plenty of history, although up until 2023, it wasn't kind to the Blue Aces.
