ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico United returned home on Wednesday night to host Detroit City FC. The Black and Yellow dominated from the start of the match and came away with a 4-0 victory.
In just the 5th minute of the match, Zico Bailey saw the Detroit keeper playing up, and Bailey proceeded to launch a 55-yard shot over straight into the box.
In the 20th, Dayonn Harris took a shot and the rebound went straight to Chris Gloster. Gloster then had a wide open shot to put New Mexico up 2-0.
Harris played a crucial part in NMU's third goal. On a corner sent by Harris in the 69th, Greg Hurst finished things off.
NMU found its final goal in the final minute of stoppage time. In the 97th, Ousman Jabang connected on a thru ball to Val Noel, who then won a one-on-one with the keeper.
