Part of a major A- road is closed due to a ‘multi-vehicle’ crash. One lane is closed along the A14 westbound near Newmarket this morning (Thursday, September 11).

There is slow traffic between junction 37 of the A142 Fordham Road at Newmarket/Exning to junction 36 of the A11 at Nine Mill Hill. Suffolk Police, the East of England Ambulance Service, and National Highways have been contacted for more information.

'Very slow traffic' along the road

Traffic monitoring site Inrix says:

Very slow traffic and lane closed due to accident, multi-vehicle involved on A14 Westbound from J37 A142 Fordham Road (Newmarket / Exning) to J36 A11 (Nine Mile Hill).
