On Monday, September 8, at approximately 1:15 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted regarding an allegedly suspicious vehicle on Maybrook Road.

The vehicle was located by police shortly after and stopped on Highway 11 in Harley Township. As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further testing. The vehicle was towed and impounded.

Brittany KING, 27 years old, of Elk Lake, has been charged with the following offences:

Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Possession of over 30 grams of cannabis

Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver

Novice driver – blood alcohol concentration above zero

Drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available
