Christy Hedgpeth has traveled far and wide in a journey of winning a women’s basketball national championship for Stanford, being a major marketing leader for big brands like Under Armour and Spalding and serving as the WNBA’s chief operating officer during a tenure of unprecedented revenue growth from 2019 until Dec. 2021.

“You take things for granted until you look back as you get older," said 2025 Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame inductee Eric Hicks. "It’s a lot of things, it’s an honor. My mom is going crazy over here.."
