COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A man with several previous convictions for motor vehicle theft was arrested on Wednesday.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), on Sept. 1, officers investigated a stolen white 2001 Dodge 2500 Ram pickup truck that was taken from the 200 block of 12th Street.

One Wednesday, a marked police vehicle tried to stop this vehicle; however, CSPD says the pickup truck sped away.

Detectives then conducted surveillance of the truck and saw it pull into an alley near East St. Vrain Street and Tijuana Street. Officers blocked the truck with the assistance of the Tactical Enforcement Unit.

Once the vehicle was blocked, the driver, John Rosa, 59, was arrested for motor vehicle theft.
