PORTSMOUTH — The town’s new curbside collection program is still experiencing growing pains, as was evident from Town Administrator Richard Rainer Jr.’s remarks to the Town Council Monday night.
The town regularly receives complaints of missing pickups, but modern technology is sorting out who’s at fault for that.
Rainer told the council that each Mega Disposal truck is equipped with cameras, which have been thoroughly reviewed.
“Almost all recent complaints have been traced to bins that have not been placed at the curb in time for pickup,” Rainer said.
He urged residents to place their bins at the curb the night before their scheduled pickup day. If residents prefer to put bins out the same day, they should be at the curb no later than 6 a.m., he said. Bins should also b
