PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Part of South Easton Avenue in Peoria will be closed through the fall, starting on Friday.
Beginning at 7 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, the street will be closed to through traffic between West Hayes Street and Southwest Adams Street, said Peoria Public Works Department spokesman Nick McMillion.
This closure is necessary as part of the Combined Sewer Overflow Year 4 Control Project. Weather permitting, it is expected to last through the fall.
McMillion said drivers using South Easton Avenue should use South Faraday Avenue.
