DES MOINES CO., Iowa (KWQC) - A Burlington woman was charged after police found drugs during a search of a car she was riding in.

Des Moines County deputies stopped a car at South Leebrick Street and Dill Street for traffic violations, officials said .

A passenger, 40-year-old Jennifer Louise Jackson, told officers she had marijuana in her bags next to her seat, deputies said.

Deputies searched the car and said they found marijuana, an amphetamine pill and multiple drug pipes in Jackson’s bags.

Accoroing to deputies, Jackson was arrested and taken to the Des Moines County Correctional Center.

Before entering the correctional center, officials said Jackson told deputies she had meth and pills that were hidden on her.
