URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - A motorcyclist was killed and another was injured after crashing with a semi truck on Interstate 74 eastbound near Urbana.

Urbana police were called to Cunningham Ave. near the on-ramp to east I-74 at 7:20 p.m.

UPD said a semi driver was making a left turn when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic and hit two motorcyclists who were going north on Cunningham Ave.

One motorcyclist was killed. The second was treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the semi, 37-year-old Hugo Bautista-Perez, was cited for failure to yield the right of way while turning.
