NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) - Police in New Bern are investigating a shooting that wounded a man early this morning.

Police say 48-year-old Kenneth Waters was shot in the lower back around 3:50 a.m. near the E Building of Craven Terrace.

The man was first taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center and then transferred to ECU Health Medical Center, where he remains in stable condition.
