NEW YORK (WBNG) -- On the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Governor Kathy Hochul signed legislation to expand access to resources for the families of those impacted by the attacks.

The bundle of legislation will revive the September 11th Worker Protection Task Force, bolster the path to public service for families of sanitation workers who died due to exposure and cleanup after 9/11, and expedite the World Trade Center disability and death benefit application process to ensure survivors are eligible to obtain vital benefits.
