CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — The Iowa volleyball team gets a shot at history on Thursday night against Southeast Missouri State in the SEMO Invite.

The Hawkeyes (6-0, 0-0) matched the best start in program history (2009, 1988, 1978) with six consecutive wins to start the 2025 season. A win on Thursday over the Redhawks (3-3, 0-0 Ohio Valley) would set a new program record for wins to start a season.

Iowa has only dropped two sets all season, winning five of its first six matches via sweep. The Hawkeyes recently won the Kwik Star Klassic in Coralville with sweeps of Butler, Illinois State and Loyola Chicago.
