PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WSAZ) - A woman has been charged with several offenses, including of buying and possessing drug paraphernalia, according to an arrest citation.

On Sept. 4, officers from the Prestonsburg Police Department initiated a traffic stop on Kentucky Route 114 on a Jeep Grand Cherokee, the citation stated.

The citation stated the stop was in reference to possible illegal narcotics transactions near the Walmart located at Shoppers Path.

Officers stopped the driver and three occupants in the vehicle, court documents stated.

According to the citation, the driver was advised of the stop and gave officers verbal consent to search his vehicle.

Officers found a small black wallet inside the front female passenger’s purse, court documents stated.
