RICHLAND, Wash. – Starting Monday, September 15, residents along Thayer Drive between Longfitt Street and Woodbury Street may notice reduced street lighting.

The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) will be removing and replacing utility poles in the area. Richland-owned streetlights attached to these poles will be temporarily removed during this process.

The City of Richland is currently installing new dedicated streetlights along Thayer Drive. Due to contractor delays, the installation is expected to be partially completed by early October, starting with the east side.

The work on the west side will commence once BPA finishes its pole installations.

Public Works Director Carlo D’Alessandro emphasized the importance of this project.
