WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – As of Thursday morning, vendors were busy with finalizing their deliveries, completing last-minute hiring, and adding final touches to their booths to ensure everything is ready for the opening.
Around 11 am on Thursday, there were lots of sounds from powered tools, diesel engines and last-minute cleanses for a shiny booth. On Friday, those sounds will be replaced with live music, entertainment, and excitement from fair goers and the animals.
“From public safety to our operations department to the food folks, guys that are making the fry dough to the guy playing the drums on the stage, everyone has been really optimistic, and we can’t wait to get started,” said Tim Garstka, Director of Sales and Sponsorships at Eastern States Exposition.
