CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated at Utah Valley University, prompting concerns about escalating political violence in the nation.

The assassination occurred while Kirk was speaking at an event in broad daylight, leading to chaos as attendees fled the scene. The FBI is actively searching for the suspect, offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

"Anybody and everybody's a target because of what they believe; it's frightening," said a witness at the event.
