Two men are facing charges over the alleged murders of two people and the attempted murder of a third in a spate of separate incidents across Melbourne.

On Friday, a 26-year-old Cranbourne man and a 25-year-old Narre Warren man were charged with murder following a shooting in Derrimut, in Melbourne's west, last Thursday.

A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital after being shot but died as a result of his injuries shortly after.

The 26-year-old has also been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing on the same day in Wyndham Vale, in the city's south-west.

Two days earlier, the pair were allegedly involved in another shooting in Ivanhoe, in Melbourne's north-east, where a 27-year-old man's body was found in the front yard of a home.
