The Penrith Panthers have spoken with star winger Brian To’o after he made a series of questionable sexualised comments aimed at the partners of his teammates at the club’s awards night.
To’o re-posted an array of pictures of his teammates while leaving a caption on his Instagram story.
The pictures showed his teammates winning various awards at Penrith’s annual awards night on Tuesday.
Controversy was caused after the posts displayed To’o writing lewd jokes as he labelled Nathan Cleary “the Fowler slayer” in reference to his girlfriend, Matildas star Mary Fowler.
Posts continued with the 27-year-old referencing Scott Sorensen – who was awarded the club’s person of the year – as the “Elle Smasher”.
