Lee was among many of Kirk's local supporters who shared their shock and sadness over Kirk's killing. Several people told 8 News Now they were grateful for the chance to mourn his loss.
"When I heard about it, I was kind of in a zombie state," supporter Jerry Guzman said. "I couldn't believe it happened."
The conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder died Wednesday after he was shot at an event at Utah Valley University.
As of Thursday, federal investigators were still searching for the person responsible.
