Yu Menglong, a prominent Chinese actor and singer, has died at the age of 37, leaving fans across Asia in mourning. The news of his sudden passing was confirmed by his management team on Weibo, stating, “With unbearable sorrow, we announce that our beloved Menglong fell to his death on Sept 11.”

Reports indicate that Yu fell from a height in Beijing, with police ruling out any criminality. The incident occurred at a friend’s apartment, where he was reportedly with several companions before retiring to a guest room around 2am. A now-deleted post from a paparazzi account claimed that his friends discovered his body on the ground floor when they left the flat at 6am. A resident walking their dog alerted the authorities, who are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

Yu Menglong rose to fame through his role in the fantasy romance series Eternal Love, which amassed over 50 billion views within 18 months of its release.
