BATTLEFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - The Battlefield Police Department issued an alert Tuesday morning, asking the public to be on the lookout for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident.

Caleb Kirby and Dasia Bilyeu were driving to work on Tuesday morning on State Highway FF when a car coming out of Sierra Road did not stop at the stop sign. After the crash, the couple didn’t have any time to stop or exchange information because the other driver took off.

“And I tried to stop, but my brakes were not strong enough to stop my whole car from going,” Bilyeu said.

“I didn’t even have the chance to get unbuckled before he was already pulling out and leaving,” Kirby said.
