A Clarkston man accused of selling marijuana to a 12-year-old near the child’s elementary school is facing a criminal charge that could land him in prison for years.

Kristopher Halterman, 19 — who reportedly lives in his grandparents’ basement — is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana for allegedly selling THC and nicotine vape products to the child. The crime is punishable by up to four years in prison.

According to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, the 12-year-old’s parent reported the alleged crime to police.
