Frank Lampard has spoken about Coventry City’s squad depth following the conclusion of summer transfer business for the club.
The Sky Blues recruited just four new players over the course of the summer – the head coach’s first big window during his time at the CBS Arena – and let seven go.
City have added strength in depth in some areas, including a new goalkeeper, two new full-backs and a centre-back in Luke Woolfenden to replace Luis Binks but the squad is arguably light out wide with just two recognised wingers as well as being a striker (Norman Bassette) and midfielder (Ben Sheaf) down on last season.
Owner Doug King has conceded that the squad is a "bit thin," which, he says, he prefers while also insisting that it's of a "really high quality".
