FARGO — The Spirit Room, which showcases regional culture in downtown Fargo, is closing.

The statement was made public on Wednesday in a Facebook post announcing a “liquidation sale” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday at 111 Broadway, above Moonrise Cafe.

“The Spirit Room has been a nonprofit fixture in downtown Fargo for over 25 years,” the post stated, in part. “After a series of difficult decisions we are making the decision to close our doors the end of the month. Come stop in, purchase a piece of local history and absorb the atmosphere one last time.”

The organization will still offer yoga and meditation classes for a few more weeks. The space also hosted dance classes, dinners, art exhibits, book talks, discussions and other cultural events.
