Michiganders can plan for a summer-like weekend across Michigan with expected highs in the 80s — and possible rain and thunderstorms across portions of the state.

" A mostly quiet and pleasant weekend is ahead with slightly above normal temperatures," the National Weather Service in Marquette said on X. "Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms work southeast across the UP tonight before giving way to a dry Saturday (Sept. 13) and Sunday (Sept. 14)."

Hazardous weather outlooks are in place for the rain and thunderstorms expected to develop on Saturday, Sept. 13, throughout Michigan. Temperatures will warm across the state, with southwest areas seeing the warmest highs.
