Charles C. “Chuck” Cohen, co-founder of Pittsburgh’s Cohen & Grigsby law firm, corporate attorney and law professor, published author, devoted student of the Torah, and a Talmud scholar and mentor to many, died Aug. 27. He was 84.
Mr. Cohen passed away after a short illness, and is survived by his wife Michele McKenney, his younger brother Henry Cohen, his three children — Andrew, Jed, and Sari — as well as 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and his first wife, Amy Cohen.
Born in Pittsburgh on Jan. 13, 1941, Mr. Cohen graduated from Steubenville High School in Ohio in 1958, from Dartmouth in 1962, then completed law school at the University of Michigan in 1965. His legal career began at Reed Smith Shaw & McClay in Pittsburgh.
