Northwestern New Mexico and southwestern Colorado saw an active start to Friday with showers and thunderstorms. A few of those showers and thunderstorms in southwestern Colorado turned strong to severe. Today, showers and thunderstorms are expected to form a line throughout the afternoon and push east impacting parts of New Mexico including the Albuquerque Metro Area. Those showers and storms may linger late tonight across the state before additional showers and storms develop tomorrow.

Tomorrow's wet weather will be around throughout the day as a cold front pushes through. The thunderstorms today may lead to flash flooding across the state and burn scar areas.
