AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) – New body-worn camera video of the officer shooting at Rajon Belt-Stubblefield was released Friday afternoon.

The 37-year-old’s family and attorneys spoke to reporters earlier in the day, saying the video was about to be released. The Aurora Police Department says the video shows an Aurora police officer attempting to stop a driver for speeding on Aug. 30.

It also shows a crash at East 6th Avenue and Billings Street close to 7:30 p.m. The driver can be seen exiting the car. The police department said the driver tossed a gun into a nearby area.

There is also a struggle. The police chief said the officer was backed into the street. The officer can be heard firing three times.

The suspect died at the scene.
