New Haven has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the world's largest pizza party.

Connecticut's third-most populated city had eyes on breaking the Guinness World Record , previously set by the Pizza World Champions in Tulsa, Oklahoma , back on Jan. 21, 2023.

That party had 3,357 participants. New Haven had hopes of hitting 5,000 , and came out on top with a total 4,525 people in attendance.

The event - which was held on the New Haven Green on Sept. 12 - was sold out. People came from all over to take part in the celebration.
