A decision by Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital to cancel a children in war discussion has been criticised as "disappointing and wrong" amid claims a body opposing antisemitism pressured the hospital.
The event — called "Children and War" — was scheduled to take place at the Melbourne hospital on Wednesday and included a panel discussion with hospital staff and external health experts.
A flyer for the seminar series said humanitarian rights, refugee health and trauma, as well as the threat of nuclear war, would be discussed.
Two doctors, neither of whom would go on the record, claimed a body opposing antisemitism complained about the event, which will now not go ahead.
