Cha’lei Reid put down a match-high 18 kills and junior Stella Adeyemi added 14 with 10 digs to lead the Hawaii women’s volleyball team to an 18-25, 29-27, 25-19, 25-18 win over Portland tonight at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
A crowd of 4,037 watched Hawaii fight off four set points in the second set that would have put them behind 2-0 in the match.
UH challenged two calls that gave Portland the set and both were overturned, allowing it to continue.
Senior middle Bri Gunderson put down the final kill to end the second set and UH rolled the rest of the match.
