Grand Valley hosts authors, artists for comic book convention

ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — From Sept. 26 through Sept. 28, visitors to Grand Valley State University's Mary Idema Pew Library can attend the third annual Laker Con — a comic book convention.

"(Laker Con) ends up educating our current students as well as interfacing with folks from the community," Durwin Talon, Laker Con event organizer and illustration instructor at Grand Valley State University, said. "We always bring back alumni, as well."
