ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Bird owners were offered a chance to join their flock and learn more about exotic pets.

The Falling for Feathers Bird Fair at the Grand Altoona Hotel provided visitors with a glimpse into uncommon household pets, including birds, snakes, lizards, and rats. The visitors learned different techniques for bird care, which creates a small mixer to share more ideas among other owners.

"We learn new things every day when it comes to birds," Stacey Havlin, the host for Falling for Feathers Bird Fair, said. "We teach each other new things. The ways that it works for us. We educate each other. This is like a family reunion here for us."

The event runs through Sunday, Sept. 14. Tickets are $5.
