The Giants are kidding themselves if they think Saturday’s flimsy attempt to turn down the heat on fading veteran quarterback Russell Wilson — who stunk in Week 1 — is going to actually work.
The team leaked to ESPN that it has “no sense of urgency” to bench Wilson for first-round rookie Jaxson Dart . That’s partly because the Giants want Dart to develop at an organic pace and partly because they’d rather not play Dart behind an Andrew Thomas-less offensive line.
