BIG RAPIDS, MI – The top-ranked Ferris State football team found itself in a battle Saturday, as Tiffin scored 20 points in the second half to claw within one possession of the defending Division II national champions.

Freshman quarterback Wyatt Bower, who scored five touchdowns on the night, picked up a key first down with 1:32 left to play to seal the hard-fought home win for the Bulldogs, as they moved to 3-0 on the season and extended their winning streak to 17 games.
