INDIANAPOLIS — Two firefighters were treated for injuries sustained while battling a house fire late Saturday evening.
An Indianapolis Fire Department spokesperson said it happened just before midnight in the 600 block of Rural Street, which is just south of St. Clair Street.
Fire was reported in the two-and-a-half story home, which was discovered to be vacant. It took about 30 minutes to declare the blaze under control.
The spokesperson said two adults in a home next door were displaced when fire spread to their residence.
Both firefighters were taken to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
