Tommy Robinson supporters injured 26 police officers during Saturday's 'Unite the Kingdom' rally in London.

The Metropolitan Police said it was a 'very challenging day' which saw ' disorder' and 'violence directed at officers'.

As of yesterday evening, 25 people had been arrested on suspicion of committing offences including affray, violent disorder, assaults and criminal damage.

Robinson's rally and a counter-protest led by Stand up to Racism 'began largely without incident'.

But the Met said 'it is deeply regrettable that a number of those who were part of the 'Unite the Kingdom' protest became involved in disorder in multiple locations'.
